ACM – Advancing Children in Ministry

We want to partner with churches to strengthen the involvement of children and youth in the ministry work.

What our partners can expect from us?

IS WORKING WITH ACM RIGHT FOR YOU?

Our first conversation will be with church leadership to ensure that ACM and your goals are aligned. Once we have determined that we want to move forward with a partnership, we will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU). Though there are no fees required from the church, we want to be sure we have memorialized our agreed-upon goals and the process in writing. This should also provide ACM with contact and access to decision-makers, major stakeholders, and other influential people germane to the process. All churches are unique, so our goal is to be respectful of your culture. Further documented in the MOU will be notable dates, milestones, and measurable outcomes by which the entire Team (ACM and partnering church) can determine progress.

ONGOING SUPPORT

ACM’s goal is to support the children of your church to ensure each one experiences the richness of ministry service. Whenever our partner churches want us to return, we are excited to do so.

THE WORK BEGINS

  • WHAT THE CHILDREN WANT: The Team must first determine what the children would like to do in church ministry and what parents are interested in supporting.
  • MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES: The Team must identify the best way to integrate children into existing ministry work. This means meeting with those ministry leaders (or designees) to plan out training and other allowances that will be made. For example, we may meet with the Ushers to determine how to accommodate the six to eight children interested in being part of the Ushers Ministry (and parents committed to ensuring the children show up).
  • IMPLEMENTATION: The Team supports the start of the children’s integration into the church’s ministry work. We will be available as soon as the church asks for the implementation process (as with the entire program).
  • EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT/ADJUSTMENT (EAA): As with most efforts, we will need to be flexible enough to respond to the feedback and observations, keeping our goals in front of us.
  • INTERVENTION: The Team will be guided by the MOU on the how much ACM is involved after adjustments have been made. Further, we will find an amount of involvement that suits the partner church in the foreseeable future.

What we expect from our partners?

  • Your guidance on the best way to meet your goals.
  • Appropriate commitment of time and relevant people to ensure success.
  • An invite to worship with you! We love working for the Lord and the opportunity to not only work at your church but to be invited to worship with your church.
